Pounce — Privacy Policy Last updated: 15 August 2026
The Short Version
Pounce does not collect anything. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The app makes no network requests of any kind. Nothing your cat does in it is ever sent anywhere.
What Is Stored, And Where
Pounce keeps a small amount of information on your device only:
- Your cat's name, if you chose to enter one. This is optional and you can leave it blank.
- ay history: number of hunts, catches, seconds played, and your cat's best day.
- ur settings, such as difficulty and which prey behaviours are on.
All of it lives in your device's own storage. It is not backed up to any server we run, because we do not run one. If your device backs itself up to iCloud, that backup is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple. We never see and never receive your name, card details, billing address, or Apple ID. The app asks Apple a single question — whether this Apple ID has bought the unlock — and Apple answers yes or no.
What We Do Not Do
We do not track you. We do not build a profile of you or your cat. We do not use cookies or advertising identifiers. We do not sell, share, or disclose data to anyone, because we never receive any in the first place.
Children
Pounce is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting Your Data
Deleting the app removes everything it stored. There is nothing left behind on our side to delete, and nothing to request from us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to change often.
